Conveniently located near BART and a major bus line, our Hayward team has served clients since 1999. We provide individualized assessments and treatment plans for adults, families and children. Clients are typically either self referred or come to us from other community collaborators; including Family Dependency Court, Child Protective Services, and Drug Court. As part of a criminal justice mental health initiative, staff also bring education and treatment to Santa Rita Jail. We work with clients, and their families when appropriate, to resolve issues around substance abuse, housing, employment, mental health and parenting. Each client is treated with respect and may engage in group, couples, family, and/or individual counseling, depending on what is most appropriate for them. All of our care is provided at no charge.

Another major component of our Hayward location is our collaboration with California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids (CalWORKs). Parents are referred to us to help them with employment and we work together on issues ranging from parenting skills to job readiness.

EBCRP Hayward is also serving teens ages 15-18 through our latest family-centered EPSDT collaboration with Alameda County. EPSDT, which stands for Early Periodic Screening, Diagnosis and Treatment, is a part of the Federal Medicaid Program, and provides children 0-21 years old who have full-scope Medi-Cal with services for for mental health, and for substance abuse and other co-occurring disorders as needed. EBCRP hopes to expand our services in Hayward over time to include the entire age range. Both CalWORKs and EPSDT are provided as part of our ongoing partnership with Alameda County Behavioral Health Care Services.
